No Utah County 72-Hour Feed
The Utah County Sheriff inmate search offers three public choices: name search, arrested-date search, and Current Inmates. None returns everyone released in a rolling three-day span. Arrested date is the date a person entered the case or booking process, not the date the booking ended. Current Inmates focuses on people still tracked by the Sheriff. Neither view answers the 72-hour release question by itself.
The county also has no aggregate statistic for the prior 72 hours. Its statistics page reports only a current last-24-hours release count, with no names. Adding that count across three days would not work because the value is rolling and can overlap. It would also fail to identify anyone. A reliable three-day check must inspect individual booking records and compare each release date to a defined start and end.
Build a Utah County Release Check
Start with the person’s name. The Sheriff name search requires at least three characters and is the public historical route for both current and past bookings. A result may contain more than one booking for the same person. Open each likely record, identify the event by arrest date and booking number, and then locate the release date. The user, not the portal, must decide whether that date falls within the chosen 72-hour period.
- Define the three-day span with clear start and end dates and times. Keep the local Utah time zone in mind.
- Search the known last name and enough of the first name to narrow the results.
- Open the relevant booking and confirm its arrest or booking date and number.
- Compare the listed release date with the three-day span. Do not use the arrest-date filter as a substitute.
- Read status and release type to learn whether the outcome was community release or a custodial transfer.
- Call Corrections or request the record when the public entry is missing, too fresh, or unclear.

Utah County Three-Day Record Fields
There is no official 72-hour table with standardized rows. The usable fields come from each Utah County booking detail. Together they identify the booking, state the county outcome, and show where the search should go next. A single field is rarely enough.

Community-release codes include forms of bail, promise to appear, recognizance, charge dropped, fine, and time served. Some codes describe only a movement out of Utah County Jail. USP means Utah State Prison, INS means immigration pickup, USH means Utah State Hospital, and OTH means another agency. Those results do not prove the person entered the community.
Utah County Weekend Release Checks
A three-day span is useful after weekends because it avoids limiting the check to the present calendar day. Yet the portal does not have a weekend switch or holiday view. Choose the period first, search the individual, and inspect the actual release date. When the period crosses a month boundary, make the dates explicit in any phone or records inquiry.
Court authorization and jail departure can fall on different days. Utah County says release paperwork can take two to eight hours after Records receives it. The jail also pauses release processing during daily lockdowns from 5:15 to 6:00 a.m. and 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. A late court action may therefore produce an actual departure on a later date than a reader first expects. No official research source sets a special holiday release rule, so none should be assumed.
For recent timing, call the Corrections Division at 801-851-4200. The general jail number is 801-851-4302, and Booking is 801-851-4210. Ask whether the available fact is a court order, a completed jail release, or a transfer. Those are not interchangeable events.

Utah County Release Archive Limits
Utah County’s search page contains a notable conflict. Its name-search helper says the tool reaches past and present inmates during the last two years. A detailed policy on the same page says booking information and the photo stay online for 30 days, after which the picture drops while text remains for one year before removal. Because both statements appear in the official interface, a search may be attempted but no fixed two-year or one-year result should be promised.
The page also says booking information is first available 24 hours after booking. That is an initial publication delay, not a release window. A person could be released during the chosen three days while the underlying booking is still too fresh to display. Conversely, an older booking may show a new release date within the period. These facts are another reason not to treat arrested-date results as a 72-hour release list.
If the record is absent, submit a focused request through Utah County NextRequest. Include the full name, aliases if relevant, the approximate arrest and release dates, and the booking number if known. Ask for booking number, booking date, release date, status, release type, and receiving agency if transfer is possible. Verify Utah County Release Outcomes
The strongest local confirmation is status O read with the release date and a community-release type. A current-roster entry indicates the person remains tracked and should not be described as released. Status Y or transfer types OTH, INS, USH, and USP end the county booking in a different way. Follow the destination instead of stopping at the local record.

The UDC offender search is limited to people currently under UDC supervision. It may show a parolee who has left prison, but it excludes county detainees awaiting trial and may omit a person after full discharge. Utah VINELink can send custody-change notices where an agency participates, though it is not a durable historical list.
Utah County Release Date Evidence
A court docket helps explain why a release occurred. Utah Courts Xchange may show bail, recognizance, dismissal, sentence, probation, commitment, or a later order in a public criminal case. It does not necessarily show the minute Utah County Jail completed paperwork, nor does it rule out a separate hold. Pair the docket with the booking status or direct jail confirmation.
